i got banned from r/conspiracy as well for making a thread speculating if a jewish sect worships baal. it was actually very tame too, i didn't insult jews as a group or say anything anti-semitic. it was a perfect 'conspiracy' type thread.

of course make the same thread about a sect of catholics, or even some usual 'protected' groups like islam or so, and you can bet it would be fine. jews however are especially protected.
