One age. One line.
Why do you trust a 4 year old to say he's a girl, a 12 year old to decide to keep a baby as long as the father is a minor, a 16 year old to drive a 3 ton death machine 80 mph on a road with other 3 ton death machines, an 18 year old to sign life altering debt notes or fight and die for your country, but a 20 year old can't have a beer or rent a car? It's fucking stupid.
Idgaf where the age line is set. You wanna set it at 13 or 30 fine by me. I like the idea of 10 and 20 and 30. Under 10 is a child. Under 20 is an adolescent. Under 30 is a young adult and over 30 is an adult. At 20 you can do all the things except hold office. The 10 mark would be mostly for supervision/education milestones.
I never understood the utter stupidity which is the American drinking age being 21. It's 18 here, and many have consumed it before 18 (they just can't buy it themselves).
