That's a pretty common thing with companies and recruiters. They just vanish the minute you're done and not 156,029% of what they think they want.

Right before the plandemic, it was starting to turn and companies were complaining that job seekers were ghosting them and why was that happening and how dare they do that!

It is rude, but you also need to consider putting yourself in the shoes of the employer/recruiter - you’ve got dozens of applicants to look through, and you most likely only have one position. Sending out messages to everyone that didn’t make it isn’t hard, sure, but their mind is focused on immediately moving on to their next task.

I bet lol. Well long story short I have been ghosted by companies more times than I can count. I had a few companies not being able to come to a consensus if they wanted to offer me the job or not (strange), and have had at least 3 companies get real disrespectful out of nowhere with me in face to face interviews, and I have had to tell off companies over the phone for their lack of professionalism, etc.
