I should have known better than to ask this on Reddit. No one on reddit's legal advice forum understands patient rights at all. I bet if I were asking questions about abortion they'd be supportive. Instead I got called delusional and they act like a hospital is just allowed to cut me open against my will. I already knew that was illegal, just wanted more information to protect myself. Instead they attack me for my choices, or wrongly state that surgery can be forced. C sections are risky for both mom and baby. They are known to cause lung issues for the baby, for example. And my risk of needing a hysterectomy goes up with each surgery. Risk of rupture is 2% with a t cut and only a small amount of ruptures are catastrophic. Those stats include women who used labor drugs which increase the risk. So the replies and downvote brigade I got to this were off the wall. I'm not agreeing to a c section just in case something might go wrong, when this has been my easiest pregnancy so far. That would be absurd. If I have signs of rupture I'll of course agree to surgery, I never said I wouldn't.  This is what I get for asking Reddit anything. I just wanted to point out how hypocritical that site is, as if you guys didn't know already. They'll defend abortion on there but God forbid a woman wants to have a baby without being cut open against their will "just in case something goes wrong."

Thank you. I am on a Facebook group for this. If I hadn't found that I would have thought VBAC was completely impossible.

It's funny you mention fasting. I did do that a few months after my daughter was born, first a 3 day water fast then intermittent fasting and 1 day fasts on occasion. I think fasting is great anyway, but I never considered it might have helped my scar heal too. That's neat. As for scar pain, I had it for 2 years after especially during periods or when lifting heavy things over my head. We waited on TTC till after it stopped. Other than the lifting issue I was able to exercise normally a few months after surgery. I haven't had any weird scar pain at all during pregnancy. I'm glad we waited. It's a little painful to be kicked in the scar but it's the same kind of pain as being kicked anywhere else plus the sensation of the scar being touched, no burning or sharp pain. The worst pain I've had was around my ribs, everything is normal. This is actually my easiest pregnancy so far which is I think from avoiding caffiene and being a stay at home mom instead of sitting at a desk all day.

Well I think you have a great chance of doing fine. God bless you and yours!
