Reddit is going the same way as Digg. They redesign their website. They include pop-up ads. They also include at least two "notifications" to join reddit when you are not signed in.

Reddit really is like lowest common denominator level stuff now. Plus SJW / PC hug box. I only ever go there for very specific stuff like there are some specific games subs, subs for online deals, Kodi, RPI etc. Still a lot of active communities with good info.

But God no, would never just go and browse Reddit like a did many years ago.

Putting words into user's mouths, which means making them appear like they wrote something they never actually did, especially on sensitive posts, is one of the greatest violations of user trust possible.

Although shortly after he applogized and promised never to do it again, it clearly gives away how Reddit tends to handle criticism.
