Sure, you can say Hitler failed and the repercussions of that are horrendous, but do you really think he believed that the British would fight him like they did in WW2. They literally firebombed whole cities of woman and children while they slept, then came back in the morning and did it again to the surviving populace. I still regret that he didn't storm the beaches of Dunkirk, it certainly could have pushed Britain out of the war. He also should have taken control of Italy too and never declared war on America.
