Do you not use the same host as them? They claim it is a free open speech platform but hide behind them being removed for hate speech so why can't they use what you are using?

no my host is in the netherlands and is a free speech specific host. Theirs is US based I believe.

Also I've never seen them claim to be a free speech platform. I always knew they had restrictions its once of the reasons I started poal.

well that user isn't an admin as far as I am aware and true they didn't deny it but I don't think I've ever seen them claim it. I know at least the head admins want to be free speech eventually but I haven't seen it happen. It would be a lot of work for them as they would have to migrate hosts to accomplish it.

Why Reddit can not be trusted.

In November 2016, Reddit CEO Steve Huffman (/u/spez) (old.reddit.com) edited comments of users criticizing him. (theverge.com)

Putting words into user's mouths, which means making them appear like they wrote something they never actually did, especially on sensitive posts, is one of the greatest violations of user trust possible.

Although shortly after he applogized and promised never to do it again, it clearly gives away how Reddit tends to handle criticism.
