Well we did use their source code to start but we have added and changed quite a bit since we started.

Do you not use the same host as them? They claim it is a free open speech platform but hide behind them being removed for hate speech so why can't they use what you are using?

no my host is in the netherlands and is a free speech specific host. Theirs is US based I believe.

Also I've never seen them claim to be a free speech platform. I always knew they had restrictions its once of the reasons I started poal.

Apparently you don't know that Poal would not exist, or at least not in this form, had it not been for Phuks and those admins you're trashing. They offered their code, free of any strings to @PMYB2 when Voat went down and didn't appear to be coming back. PMYB2 and @AOU ran with it, modifying the rules to better fit the platform they wished to build, the one you apparently prefer. Poal admin also still work closely with those Phuks admin you hate to make Poal better day by day. So call Phuks a cancer and wasteland, if you wish, but in doing so, you're slapping those who are still till this day helping Poal succeed in the face. They asked nothing in return ... and in gratitude, using their base code to bitch, you call them shady, lying, faggots? What does that make you?

I'm aware of the help they gave. The glitchy, horrid, code they gave boobies and aou. So nice of them.

Before you jump into to defend those cunts why don't you inform yourself on who you're defending.

The glitchy, horrid code is basically identical to their code - LOL. PMYB2 works with them on code on a regular basis, ask him, he'll tell ya. As far as Phuks and Poal ... I was here from Poal's unveiling and post regularly on both platforms, both of which I enjoy. Now you may not like the fact that Phuks has rules, that's okay ... don't go there ... but there's no need to get pissy just because you 'feelings' were hurt.

Nothing wrong with admins deleting peoples posts and comments and lying about it right? Nothing wrong with them banning users because they don't like them and then lying about it right? @aou and @pmyb2 actually want a true and open free speech platform for people to come to and share ALL sides and they have been extremely open about what they do on the site and how they handle problems. The phuks crew does not even identify openly who all are admins. They gave the code away so that they can keep their precious little safe space free of the terrible evil words that so deeply hurt them. You expecting respect for liars and manipulators is laughable. I also down voted you to even the score since you rode in on your high horse and didn't even address why he would be upset with those LIARS

You break the rules, clearly spelled out, and you get deleted. And no one's ever hidden who the admins are on Phuks. Go on chat and ask, they'll tell you.

You don't like Phuks, that's cool. But calling them out when they helped establish what you have here makes zero sense.

I hate to get involved in something like this, but at this point I should probably at least put in my 2 cents for whatever it is worth. Phuks never claimed to be a free speech platform as far as I am aware. I think personally there is room for both sites on the net and there doesn't need to be any problem between the sites. They have their vision for what their site should be and we have ours. I have never been shy about admitting I appreciate all the help I got from mostly Polsaker and Pembo for the help in setting this site up. They were immensely helpful and I don't think it would have happened without them. The admins on phuks have the right to run their site however they want, just like I as the owner can run this one how I see fit. There doesn't need to be hard feelings if we can avoid them. I'll openly admit I've seen some things in their logs I would not allow here, but its their site and they should be able to run it how they choose. So don't be too hard on those guys I think most of them have good hearts and want to do good, if that wasn't true they would not have helped me get this site going. Another mention should be E-werd he helped too even though he didn't have answers all the time he tried. In closing we shouldn't downplay what those guys did to help get this place running. What I'm really saying at the end of the day is we should let the market decide, their site will get users who value the type of environment they want to create and this one will get the type that like our environment. It doesn't have to be a competition, hell there is a good amount of overlap as it is. So again I'll say I think there is plenty of room on the internet for both sites. I get you being upset at their actions as moderators and admins, but if you were over there and got the type of treatment you did, well thats just how they want to run things. We do things differently here. I'm rambling at this point but I think I have explained my thoughts on the subject at least decently well. I would like to state for the record I like phuks I go there sometimes I don't often participate for a few reasons one being I don't know what I can and cannot say. So I limit what I say to trying to contribute to throat in what limited ways I can.
