There are absolutely TONS of bots, and most of the Explore Page is filled with their trash.

I can give you several accounts that are BLATANT bots, and their trash is on the Explore Page daily, sometimes even multiple times a day. As soon as they make a post, the fake "likes" start ticking up, and in short order it's on the Explore Page.

I also suspect that Torba / Gab are running some of these bots themselves.

The thing about bots, is they artificially boost Gab's "traffic" numbers (which Torba loves to brag about), while providing plausible deniability that the numbers are being manipulated. Thus, keeping the bots around is a definite win-win for Gab.

There's no doubt in my mind that a) it's a bot, and b) Gab is running it.

The post count alone is literally unbelievable and blatantly inorganic.

Just look at the post count difference from when I made the first screengrab on July 14, 2024 (6 months ago) vs right now -- 45k(!!!) posts in only 6 months.

Now let's look at the total number of posts and calculate some averages.

The account has existed for 84 months.

695,300 posts / 84 months = 8,277 posts per month

8,277 posts / 30 days = 275 posts per day

Let's assume 10 hours per day on Gab (which is insane, but let's go with it).

275 posts / 10 hours = 27.5 posts per hour

27.5 posts / 60 minutes = 0.46 posts per minute or 11 posts every 24 minutes.

Totally legit. Not.

Almost all of the internet is fake and gay. Almost every major site does this. Lots of people who have smaller sites or want to be famous do it themselves and it's become laughably easy to make bots that scrape other sites and repost shit on social media.
