80, firs, is the more simple fire (four) and sindstyve: 4 times 20 equals 80.

90, halvfems, is constructed of halvfemte and sindstyve: 4½ times 20 equals 90.

when you say a number like 55, you are technically saying ‘five-plus-two-and-a-half-times-twenty’

Their language has always been very strange to me. Too many consonants jammed together, and my mouth can't make most of the sounds necessary.

Swedes can read Danish since it so similar. To hear what Danish people say though that's much harder.

Danish is to Swedish what arnold German (Austria Styria accent) is to hard normal German.

There's a joke that in order to pronounce Danish correctly you need to talk with a potato in your mouth.
