Yes, that's not the ambiguity. The ambiguity is whether the two is a denominator of the whole rest of the equation, e.g.:

230/1 - 220/1 x 1/2

Or, whether 1/2 is a numerator, e.g.:

230/1 - 220/1 x (1/2)/1

The ambiguity arises because of typing the entire equation inline without parantheses. In proper notation the difference is between:
