I made Missouri's borders even more abrasive while trying to keep it at least somewhat similar to its original shape. May do more states later.

Draw a minimal oval covering KC, Columbia, and St Louis. Exclude that, and include NE Iowa.
You'll have to tunnel under the Exclusion Zone across the middle. Build a wall around it, though.
