I'm only partially joking. I really do sometimes catch up on them and that's where all the amusing news is anyhow.
The county sheriff's log is fucking hilarious.
They patrol Farmington at night and some cop walks a beat and checks all the doors on the stores.
At least once a week, sometimes more often, they find a few completely unlocked. Even the bank has been left unlocked.
Cops are also unable to apprehend a motorist, quite frequently. 'Snot surprising, really. It cracks me up.
Small town ... sixties America at it's finest. I guess you can go home again ... but that snow smashing would kill any ideas I might have of moving. The AF made me hang out in ND for a spell, so I know how that great white north stuff works.
Snow smashing is awesome. It just requires the right tools for the job.
My old bones dislike the cold more than the snow. Yes, we get winters in Utah, and little kids in suits ringing our doorbells so they can teach us right from wrong, but nothing like that below zero, deadly cold stuff. We bake in the summer, freeze in the winter ... I'm okay with that.
