Yeah, I'd probably not actually watch the movie - I'd actually read the newspaper. I try not to even do that!

Do you still keep up with current affairs?

It depends on whose affairs. By yes, I suppose. General news of interest to me (which varies widely) anyway ... not much into what passes as news in many places though.

I asked because I was curious. When I read Voat, or even these other sites, I don't actually know who most of those people are - or even what events they're on about.

I was curious, 'cause I wondered if it was an age thing.

I just don't fucking care about most of it. 'Snot gonna matter to much to me. I don't even check the sports scores.

I get news periodicals. I don't read them. I don't check the local news, even. The national news is right out and the local weatherman is a liar. I absorb my news, possibly like osmosis! I have no fucking idea what's going on.

Maybe it's not an age thing.

I pick and choose what news interests me ... much in today's world doesn't. They're far more into good old fashion entertainment and gossip then they are into actual news. You would think with the 24 hour news cycle we have that the airwaves would be filled with every imaginable news story out there, but no ... it's a 24 cycle of the same irrelevant stories repeated ad nauseam. Mostly politics ... as if politics really matter to anyone outside a select few. All I want is to be left alone ... I don't give a rats ass what some BS politician has to say about just about anything. Do your job, damn it, go away ad don't bother me with your petty nonsense. That, and much of news is simply indoctrination into whatever PC cultists ideas are supposedly culturally correct at the moment ... I'm sick of it all, but I watch some of the circus.
