He has held his ground. The left moved away from him, not the other way around. I never really liked bill Maher, but I do find myself agreeing with him more and more. I disagree with almost everything he says, but, unlike most of the left, at least he got to his beliefs using some kind of principled stance that he continues to hold despite his own party leaving him behind.
