Get Russia to fire a nuke? Russia wouldn't taint their land with a nuke's destruction so the target would have to be out of territory and the opposition force substantial to require a nuke for retaliation or a warning. Doubt that situation is possible unless the current situation gets clown world escalated and forced into chaos. That's my imagination getting carried away though.

I don't think intercontinental ballistic nukes are the main concern with people who mention the idea. I've heard / read plenty of talk about the Russian doctrine of small, tactical nukes, though. Who knows?

The article in a single paragraph:

The West has avoided a confrontation with Russia so far, opting instead for mostly toothless sanctions. But if Russia does something that impacts a NATO nation, the allied forces including the United States will be forced to go to war with the communist nation. Russia has already repeated the threat of nuclear weapons multiple times, stepping up to the edge of an act of war

Essentially, "we've done nothing to deter them, and if they strike NATO, then we just have to hit back against bad communists who have nukes. FEAR FEAR FEAR."

I am surprised they called Russia "communist" though.
