I'm around plenty of leftists and I noticed some people expected that stigma to exist, but nobody actually expressed it towards me when I had it. They often disagreed and stigmitized some of my thoughts on covid and the measures we put in place, but there was no judgement for having it. The closest to this was judgement of anyone who had it and was still going out while they were sick, and I judge my friends who did that too because it's an incredibly stupid approach no matter what you think of covid. I'm fine with infection parties though, that's completely different.
