It was 800 cheaper then. Right now its sitting in the crate in my garage until I can clear my project backlog and weld up a stand out of some I beams and schedule 80 pipe. My intention is to convert it to CNC. I've got the stepper motors and controllers but need to manually mill some parts for the conversion and then disassemble it to measure the lead screws so I can swap them to ball screws. Will probably also add an oiling system for the guides once i have it apart. The front loader on my tractor barely lifted it off the trailer after the move. Was a real bitch getting it on by myself with just ropes chains and a come-along.
I'd love to see it finished and running, What sort of projects do you want to do on it?
There's a handful of things for other projects I want to mill out of aluminum. Likely for a while though ill be using it to mill parts to build other types of machines. I want to build a cnc lathe as well and im looking for a precision surface grinder. I'm hoping to use it for alternate income stream potentially and I'm definitely getting into gunsmithing once it's up and running.
Have you look at pdfdrive and libgen for firearms books? Plus a ton of other material....
