I have a plotter that is made to hold a pen. To write realistically you need a single stroke font. These are hard to find and actually consist of a normal font with a zero width (so the letters are written twice)
I've been working on a program where you write in a tablet and that is converted to SVG. The program then further cleans up the SVG associates it with a letter, and allows you to set up a margin around the letter. Next (what I haven't done) is to allow you to export the data as a font. Eventually I want to be able to export to CNC. So far I have to individually set up each letter (using inkscape and some 3rd party addons for it to actually plot) to "print" my "hand written" letter.
If there is interest in this project... Well I wouldn't mind getting help with it, or incorporating new ideas.
