This is a cause for concern, for many poal bears.

SBBH, short for Soapboxbanhammer, is a community on voat (and other websites) that prides itself on "shitposting" and banning users both to draw attention to their community, increase status, and as a display of power.

Among many things, soapboxbanhammer has been accused of running many alternate accounts to manipulate opinions, attempting to cozy up to administrators, and shockingly harboring pedophiles. A few members have expressed an interest in Japanese "loli" pornography which doesn't help the situation.

Recently. SBBH has had a major shakeup and loss of status, including losing many top members. I will highlight recent events below:

  • the supposed doxxing of , which apparently lead to resign from voat (in his own words)

  • a faction war between and that left the SBBH shitposters divided

  • becoming a more frequent poster on poal, possibly testing the waters

  • protectvoat mastermind mysteriously dissapeared, and burned his account as did

  • an appearance of as , who has been active, but so far refused to participate in mumble ti confirm they are an actual person

This is important, because SBBH never goes anywhere unless they can exercise authority or dominance on the platform thet dwell. and have thwarted several attempts at their invasion and takeover, so we only see mild subversion as of late.

However, many accuse SBBH of having powerful sponsors ( claims to be independently wealthy), and many are concerned that they will use greater resources to enforce their ideals and exert control.

In any case, this phenomena has many people on edge and wary of each other, is the latest to be accused of SBBH infiltration with his subverse .

Regardless, we shall see what the future holds with these subversive individuals and poal.

It's SRS, /leftypol/, CTR, etc.
These people are paid to infiltrate online communities, deploy divide and conquer tactics and steer the public perception, enforce containment rules, to dilute content to make it harder to advance grassroots movements and to sabotage coordination and cohesion.

They employ a mirrored style that taints the reflection they facilitate.
What I mean by this is that they copy what they see in other places (namely 4chan since most of Voat overlaps with chans) - namely the cynical shitposting bullshit - and spoil the trend, the way of communicating.

Their incessant "shitposting" is really just content dilution.

For instance, have you noticed content on Poal has been slowly getting really shitty lately? Have you noticed all of the le shiptosting?

Regardless, I just can't bring myself to trust anyone on the internet. Be them SBBH, or people accuse people of SBBH, why should I trust any of them?

Kinda just seems like a bunch of assholes screaming into the Void.
