I generally quick with logos. Imperical trends and understanding their causes way not be foolproof, but I find them more reliably correct than positions built on other types of appeals

Evidence/support is the only thing I care about. You make a claim I don't consider generally plausible and not worth challenging, (i.e. "I ate a sandwich today",) I want supporting links to show you're not just bullshitting.

That or yourself playing dumb

Either you are honest or you are not, either you want to get to the bottom of truth or you're trying to do something else, like avoiding a particular truth

You'd be surprised how many seem to think it's the other answers, which is why your response seems like a non-answer.

So many users will believe based on tone, or how many agree, or what authorities say, or stories, or how confident someone seems to be. When you say what you said, you could just as easily be one of those that thinks it's obviously what most people agree on.
