I recently bought a SN30 Pro 2 controller from 8bitdo. They claimed to support the Steam Deck so I thought I could flawlessly pair it to my PC running Pop OS. I was able to get it to "connect", but none of buttons would register (only on XInput mode, nothing would happen in DInput mode). My bluetooth adapter works just fine.

Steam os is debian or ubuntu based right? At any rate you should just be able to add the source repos and get whatever software/drivers you think might be the issue w/o a reinstall.
