Gaming on Linux really has finally arrived. I know because I haven't booted Windows for months and I'm still playing all of my games.
The only real caveat here is that if you play on-line games then Linux is probably not an option for you. This is because of anti-cheat software running on servers, or at least that's what I understand.
Also if you have a VR headset there probably are no Linux drivers.

The anti cheat stuff is also slowly at hand. Even kernel changes to help address it.
