It has been like 4 years since I used gnome and I'm a lot better at using linux. I just install an os with the Gnome desktop. I think it actually got worse. It's like budgie with little adjustments for real customization. The software installer is fast and good but the menu's and panel are garbage and even with plank installed when I gave up on the panel it was still shit. I couldn't even find the plank settings and I right clicked everywhere on the bottom between icons and on both sides and not a fucking settings app was found at all. This is a totally walled garden, KDE is to much choices and Gnome is taking them all way. Most settings are not in an intuitive area and the discriptions are modest and not descriptive to function. I have found Gnome might have gotten worse than before years ago. I guess Cinnamon, xfce, and mate in a pinch are the only user friendly desktops in linux now. I don't use elementary because it's trying to be gay like apple so I don't know the desktop environment name.

Just a warning for the new people so they don't waste 3 hrs like me trying to setup this monstrosity of a mistake.
