I had an update on mx linux today. I figured that since I had a rolling update distro it would be one thing updated. Wrong, an entire list of 56 items. I was also surprised that when doing this update that it would free 5 mb of space. Windows only gets bigger and bigger but Linux gets more refined and better. I am so happy I switched around 5 yrs ago.

...and no reboot required most of the time.

Huge plus no 20 minute shutdown followed by a 40 minute start-up and a normal 20 second boot time.
