Ah, so you mean it appears to be creating useful restore points but in reality won't actually do anything but screw your machine up and require a complete reinstall? At least, that's my experience with system restore, which gets turned off on all machines I touch.

I've used TimeShift successfully across several systems, several distros, and several years. Not sure what you're doing wrong.

I've never had a problem with system restore for windows; this was the first time I had to use timeshit for linux and it solved the problem. I spent hours with the app tech support trying to clear away zombie files and sheeeit.
