Ah, but microsoft is a hardware manufacturer now. If you buy windows hardware it all gets updated with the system. :p it just isn't guaranteed to work. expect to do lots of unplugging and plugging stuff back in or rebooting randomly to bring hardware back to life.
Yeah hardware, locked down shit is more like it like the old apple model where flash video was not allowed. Yeah microsoft could fuckup a wet dream. I love my linux and only spread the gospel of the real OS.
I want a tablet form factor with camera, touch screen, and digitalizer (pen). Currently I've only found the surface to meet my needs, i'm never going to lug around a wacom and bulky 'desktop replacement portable notebook" again, and I cannot use a desktop. I'm just waiting for linux hardware to catch up to that so I can get back off windows again.
I didn't even consider that but I'm old fashioned an consider anything without a mouse and physical keyboard not a REAL computer and more like a toy. A real computer you can have multiple drives and many usb ports. I hate the restrictions of power and a screen I can hardly see. Hell if I had the money my computer would be in a server rack with a huge 4K TV hooked up to it.
