The UNIX philosophy is shit and it's a good thing that it's getting what it fucking deserves. The operating system should provide a consistent API, with alternate versions for backwards compatibility, and all other libraries should be compiled into every application that uses them. Dynamic linking is an absolute cancer that should never have existed.
