I'd offer some advice, but your ticket here is as clear as coal. What package manager? Is there anything in the logs? Is the program itself dying or is it choking waiting for access to something? Anything particular in the VM configuration that might make anything behave in a nonstandard fashion? Can't do shit without knowing shit.
