Waiting till this weekend to try and install. Historically, Mint distro upgrades have been hit or miss
I have had good luck, though, I do always back everything I care about up first and if I need to I just do a full re-install. It's not very hard for me to rebuild and I have automated most of it.
The last update for my very old XPS laptop went completely to shit so I just did a from-scratch re-install and ran my "base" automation against it and other than copying over some minor stuff it was like I never rebuilt in the first place.
Though, I do have network storage, self-hosted stuff, bookmark sync stuff, etc... The infra under my home network is better than some businesses.
Heads up. Got bored and tried the upgrade tonight. Went smooth. But the new cinnamon start menu was an absolute fucking mess. I'll try the upgrade again this weekend like I planned when I have the mental energy to fuck around with UI elements.
I think it was back during the 19 editions, I did an upgrade and cinnamon broke my ability to mount my hdd vault. When I finally found a fix, it broke my ability to auto mount thumb drives. That was when I left for manjaro for a few years
