I don't use arch but my favourite WM was always Gnome. But they are getting fucky. Considering switching to XFCE.

Ditto. I use Gnome mainly because I don’t care much about the desktop environment. I want it to get out of the way.

Gnome and KDE are both dropping support for X11. I don’t know if Wayland will ever be ready for prime time, so I’m going to try Cinnamon.

I use WindowMaker, not a desktop environment. I never liked the big bulky things with lots of settings I can't find. I just stick with the one I started with lol. It still "just works".
