What bothers me about pamac is downloading around a 100mb plus of repository data even if you used it a few hours ago maybe change that to check daily or weekly instead of every time you open it. That would save bandwidth.

DNF/YUM and APT all use a cache. You can expire it manually if you want/need to but I think it only updates either weekly or monthly by default.
