That is a good point about WSL. Also, Oracle has being shaking down businesses over VirtualBox and Java. Last year we had to pull nearly every version of Vbox out of the network. Fortunately, only one person was using it for business and we were able to move that to a RHEL VM that was already on support. Not only is the extension pack expensive, the minimum order is 100. Fuck that.

If you are facing Oracle showing up and shaking you down over Java, move to adoptium. It's free and we've got multiple apps running on it with no issues.
