With the code in Linux 6.10 when DRM Panic is triggered, an ASCII art version of Linux's mascot, Tux the penguin, is rendered as part of the display.

With Linux 6.11 it will also be able to handle displaying a monochrome image as the logo.

And this level of "advancement" is why Linux is still not a replacement for Windows or MacOS for most users. Instead of making Linux better for the needs of business and home users or fixing long time bugs, they waste time on silly "features" that improve almost nothing. The sad part here is if you like this feature and make use of it, you are seeing the DRM panic screen too often and wasting your time in OS failures.

It's been decades since Linux came on the scene. Here in 2024, it still isn't trying to be a general user OS. It's just not going to happen. Linux has its user base and there will be little growth in it as always. It's like supporting Ron Paul for president...it's not happening...ever.
