This is not surprising because of their runtime fee. The market itself is restructuring. Godot is starting to eat into the low end market share. Engines like Bevy are starting to appear. They've been acquiring and preparing for a market shift. That shift will continue to evolve over the next five years. In the next several years they are going to have lots of serious competition. Meanwhile, even Unreal is making changes to absorb some more on the low end with Verse, which will further eat into Unity's market share.
