The wood reminds me of our Atari Game system when I was a kid. As for the OS it should as linux blown windows out of the water for everything but maybe gaming. Hell my Dell when I formatted over windows 10 and installed mint was over twice as fast without a million services and other shit I didn't need starting a boot. I find that the system 76 is mostly hype. From what I was reading last year the entire reason for it was to get rid of minix and other negative ring services and replace them with services without hidden backdoors for the government or hackers or other companies to slide into your PC like there was no security. I guess Linus either didn't know that or didn't think it was a big deal.
I run linux, not that nehwb shit though. Slackware or netbsd/openbsd for BSDs. My slackware current install uses 46-85 megs of ram with everything going including a window manager. SystemD not even once.
I like to be pampered so I enjoy system D fully. I appreciate the hard work people did developing it to make linux easier and more accessable to ex windows users and is likely a big part of people leaving windows for linux. If you think about it system D is a way for regular companies and governments use linux instead also. It makes the stuff you need to have a lot of brains to figure out automatic for the layman like myself. I'm using 1gb of memory out of 8gb though I think windows was using around 3 on this computer when I bought it so I'm really satisfied with xfce and it's performance.
What is System D ?
