I'm ok with this. Similar situation with Pipewire. It's fully functional and some folks swear by it exclusively, but I'd rather keep pulse around until we know 100% Pipewire is drop in ready

There's xwayland anyways https://poal.co/s/Linux/676126 as I understand it it's an implementation of xorg into wayland... Wayland being the anything-goes-implement-it-however-you-like container for graphic stuffs, as I understand it, so yeah, xorg will likely remain around for quite some time, in fact with xwayland there's no objective reason as to why it would even disappear at any point in time, it's likely going to remain an option pretty much forever I think, with or without wayland
