I still don't understand the hype behind Wayland. It's not like it's a massive upgrade over X, like Pipewire is over pulseaudio
as I understood it back when I gave half of a fuck about it, with X you have to conform to an old ass pile of graphic libs and it works but not that great while with wayland everybody is free to implement wtf they want pretty much any way they want and it's supposed to lead to a much better world and cure cancer but it's still a work in progress...
Meanwhile you can still use both at least until X is completely ditched for wayland, everywhere... Circa 2048 maybe...
Fuck that man. I don't want flashy, I just want the damn thing to work. Let Fedora and Ubuntu idiots fiddle fuck with that shit.
X is fine as far as I'm concerned
I can run emulators, a browser, 1080p videos, I'm happy
