If you've not tried a gccjit compile of emacs, your missing out. Way faster.
Doom emacs plus gccjit with the vim garbage disabled makes for a good starter.
I always use the GNU build scripts. Building faster isn't enough incentive for me to change. Doom is cool if you want the features, but I mostly don't.
Sometimes I really wish Emacs had some competition. Probably never gonna happen.
You misunderstand. This is gccjit but into emacs. It jits your lisp using the gcc jit vm. Your lisp becomes compiled. Take longer to compile. Execution speed is much faster.
