It means what I've been telling people for a long time now. They've been purposely under counting Linux desktops to artificially boost Windows and MacOS.

The year of the Linux desktop long ago came and went and most people don't know about it because of the market manipulations and lies.

Linux is more popular than Mac. In business Linux desktops are very popular for developers. And thanks to Steam, Linux has steadily grown for desktop users, including gaming.

On top of this, Chrome desktops have also eroded Windows market share on the low end. Especially for students.
