Well I've used lineage without gapps for a long time, awesome rom, I see you mention manjaro etc, I can't speak to that, I've also considered using Linux(android is a Linux variant), I will say that lineage I found to be excellent, battery life awesome and really there was nothing for me to complain about, rock solid. As different Linux versions become better I will definitely flash and use them on my phone(s)
How is it with QOL apps? I'm not a huge mobile gamer or anything, but I'd like a web browser with built in ad blocking, and some form of music player (Preferably with Pandora access).
I don't use either type of things sorry, my music is all owned and I have a large library on my phone that I've converted from cd. I think there was a version of brave that worked with it without too much messing about.
