I can't imagine that there is anyone still running x86, and still patches their software every week. If you still need binaries for an old x86, you can always compile them yourself.

If nothing else, the fans on older units are bound to be giving out, and some of the older x86_64 processors woulod be cheaper than buying a new fan.

Good point.

I'm sure there are backend processes built around it. Still work, no more supported binary updates.

Thanks. I question how many backend systems are using desktop based systems, or did I misunderstand your point? Am I missing something?

Go find out.

Hell anyone with 32bit should upgrade or just accept old software. It's rediculous besides the tiny linux distro's made for older hardware that any offer 32 bit anymore. What's it been 20 years since 64 bit has become the norm now. Hell it's like in the late 90's and 16 bit software was still being made.
