I doubt many users will switch from Windows to Linux over a crappy Windows version. Gamers are stuck with Windows. The rest are more likely to buy a Mac.

My guess is they will lose a few casual users to macOS. The rest will hold on Windows 10 and even keep running it after they end support if they have to. Then Microsoft will relent and take out some of the garbage people hate when they release Windows 12. Sane users will skip to that release when they finally upgrade. That’s what happened with Vista and Windows 8.
