I won't go into the tinfoil hat shit about Ubuntu, but I will say this: Many of the Windows Linux subsystem stuff has been lifted directly from Ubuntu, and given Ubuntu's...odd programming choices over the decades, it would not surprise me if they left backdoors in for certain interested parties. Especially given how they alter their Kernel in ways that no other distro does.
