Trash, also not Linux.

Agreed, but what would you suggest as so many have jumped on the system d bandwagon?.

Pop is a lot like Mint. It starts with Ubuntu and attempts to fix all of the problems Canonical intentionally adds to it.

Pop!_OS is made by System76, whose main business is selling custom built Linux PCs. Somewhere during Canonical’s ill advised journey into The Unity desktop and Mir System76 got fed up and made their own Ubuntu based distro so they could offer an overall better Linux machine to their customers.

I Use Pop, and I don’t think System76 made any changes to Ubuntu and Gnome Shell that I disagree with. Ditching Snap for FlatPak is the nicest. They also build their own Debian packages for a few things like Alacritty (github.com) and Firefox. I didn’t even know that Canonical had turned Firefox into a Snap package and that it’s been having performance problems. I’ve been running Firefox the normal way (not in a container) without issues.
