My thoughs. All distros are the same. They all let you {package manager} {install command | flags} package.

That is really their only feature. The rest is what things are already installed by that package manager and some UI polish. But nothing of real substantive difference exists in any distro.

I VM'd it. It's damn solid. More solid than I expected it to be. But the killer for me is the app store is moving away from repos and towards snap packs. That's a security and updating nightmare. I couldnt even find a program that accessed the repos only. The forums suggestion was to use command line or install synaptic. Yeah no...sticking with mint.

synaptic is great. I would take it over the app store any day.
