Wow!
What does it say about some who has Linux, Mac OS, Android, Windows and RTOS (asking for a friend)?
Seriously. I have a virtual-machine for damn-near every OS, for different purposes. These types of pop-science studies are nothing more than headline-generators for click-bait.
It's not about what you are forced to use (work, specific program, etc) it's what you prefer to use.
If you prefer Apple, you are gay. If you prefer windows, you are a sheep. If you prefer Linux, you are a individualist. If you prefer Android, you are intelligent, like to tinker, and unfortunately are a part of the Data provider community helping 3rd parties destroy white man.
Myself, I prefer to be in late 1800's southwest , tombstone, Durango, etc.
I prefer microcontrollers with no OS at all. Everyone of them is over bloated with features I don't need. I do prefer Linux.
True. Microcontrollers do have too many features. Teensy is bloatware. Just connect up a few transistors. That's how I access the internet.
We could make that into a kind of compitition. Fewest transistors to connect to a router over ethernet and post hello world to some part of the internet.
What about BSD. Hell, you can bootstrap a linux kernel and get a lot done with very little overhead. It is sad that there's no well-maintained, super-minimalist linux distro with no B.S. I know you can compile one yourself, but it'd be nice to have a more hands-off minimalist experience.
