I love that the first linux distro I ever used, and the one that I used for the longest, is still based. I still remember installing slapt-get just to get a taste of having a decent/built-in software repo. I kinda miss having to compile everything before installing it, but know it'd become sickening after a few hours, lol. Good times. If I didn't have CentOS, then Slackware would probably still be the daily-driver.

I installed Slackware from floppies back in the day. Slackware stands apart for me in that every software package is built from as-released sources without modification.
And no systemd.
