If Proton can just get EAC games to work, you'll see the user share shoot up very quickly. When you look at protondb, the top 10 number is super misleading because the only thing keeping those games from working is the anti cheat. When you look at the other two, and read the breakdowns, you realize that Proton can basically play anything that you throw at it

They've recently added some kernel apis to help with this.

ONE PERCENT!

The article is wrong. It is not representative of user share. It is representative of user surveys, which are optional. Additionally, for years linux users complained they were never presented with a survey. Even valve has corrected this completely wrong misinformation that it's absolutely not user share.

Article's author is an idotic faggot.

The only thing you can take away here is that valve's linux user share is larger than 1%. That's it.

As an example. They will survey say 10% of all users to determine what the popular hardware and driver's look like. Granted, 10% is a made up number, but that would mean linux is 10% of their users.

Whatever the actual number is, valve isn't saying. But we do know it's larger than 1%.

Finally it's the year of Linux on the desktop. Another crippling bombshell hits the beleaguered PC gaming community.
