I remember someone one on here commented on how it was stupid to have distro's like on the front right of the distro watch page to be ranked by downloads that week. They were right on that point since that doesn't mean the install worked at all or they liked the installed distro at all. Well I came across this from a link in another page, I had no idea that this existed. What is strange is that the other day I was thinking of sending distro watch an email saying it would be great to rank distro's by user ratings in the comments area. Now that also has and obvious problem with the distro's that are discontinued on the one with 1 ratings are not produced so it's a null and void position at the time someone reads it. Now the dropdown at the top will give you a huge variance of results by which one you choose, and some distros like Linux From Scratch is at the top of one of the lists but you know some newb downloaded that one time and then regretted that decision a lot for the wasted time downloading.
